The mild weather not coming until tomorrow !!! so had to make the most of the cloudy 8/9 degrees of today :( So I met up with speed buddy Pete Cutts at his home spot and got to sail with someone for the first time this year !!!! :) We arrived at 10:30 and with the sw blowing 20 mph and hopefully increasing during the day it was looking good despite the grey cool day, we both rigged 7m and took our big freeride boards out. With an hour or so until high tide we had loads of water in the lagoon but the wind was abit too light and gusty and sw is probably not the best direction for flat water and fast times !!! West is better and also when the tide breaches the shingle bank it becomes very choppy :( but we had fun for a couple of hours trying to find some flat water and wind but the two rarely came together !!! I am desappointed with the alpha's as the gybing was going well but just couldn't find 500m of flat water with wind :( We were joined for alot of the session by Dave White out on his kite gear and it was good to have a tea and catch up with Pete in his van after :) some the wind and lagoon didn't play ball :(
